Legislative obstacles have stopped the Arkansas State Lottery from introducing one of the latest multi-state games, the Decades for Dollars. It was supposed to be introduced in January, this year, but it just wasn’t meant to be. However, it seems that the issues have been resolved and the Decades for Dollars game is well in its tracks. Lottery winning numbers
The lottery tickets for Decades for Dollars cost $2 each and they have been available since May 3. The drawings take place twice weekly, Thursdays and Mondays at 10:00 p.m. Central Time.
“Giving players more choices increases lottery revenue and provides more money for scholarships,” Diane Lamberth, Chair of the Arkansas Lottery Commission, stated. “It’s our job to maximize scholarship dollars, and we wanted to follow quickly the successful Arkansas Million Dollar Raffle game with new products that our players will like.”
The Decades for Dollars game is very simple. Players must choose 6 out of the 47 available numbers (or just go for a random quick pick). If a person gets all the 6 numbers correct, they will be entitled to a $250,000 a year for 30 years or a lump sum of $4 million. If there are multiple winning tickets, a $10 million prize will be shared equally among the winners. If a player manages to get 5 out of 6 numbers correct, than they will be entitled to a lump sum win of $10,000. Also, if more than 25 people manage to do the same thing, the maximum prize will be $250,000 shared equally. There are 3 other winning categories. The third can yield a prize of $100 for the person who gets 4 correct numbers. The fourth will get $10 if he manages to guess 3 numbers, while the 5th category (just 2 correct numbers) will give the winner the $2 he spent on the ticket. Lotteries
The game is played in 4 states and along with Arkansas we also have Virginia, Georgia and Kentucky.
Besides this new multi-state lottery game, Arkansas Lottery players will also be able to play the new scratch game, the $1,000,000 Diamond Dazzler. The price for a scratch lottery ticket is $20, and players can win prizes up to $ 1 million. Lottery officials state that the price is so high because the chances of winning the big price are much better. Powerball lottery
