FOSTER MOTHER WINS $300,000
June 28, 2011

At last, a bit of lottery news that can bring some joy into our hearts. It is always pleasant to find out that someone who truly deserves it manages to win the lottery. And that is the case of Bonnie Gunter, a foster mother who has taken care of children for more than 21 years in Atlanta. Right before her 72nd birthday, which just passed on June 25, the woman managed to win a $300,000 lottery jackpot at the Lotta Bucks game of the Georgia State Lottery. It was Bonnie’s husband, Rene Jimenez, who had bought the winning ticket and passed it on to her. The ticket was purchased at a Dunwoody Chevron, located at 3500 Ashford Dunwoody Road N.E., Atlanta. “I started crying,” Bonnie Gunter stated. “I just feel overwhelmed, and I’m very grateful.”

At the moment, Bonnie is has 4 biological children, 4 grandchildren, 4 adopted children and 3 foster children. Also, for the past 34 years she has worked in an in-home daycare.

“We’re going to catch up on bills,” Bonnie Gunter stated “We don’t have any big plans. We haven’t even talked about spending because it’s such a gift.”

The state among neighbors and friends is one of happiness, as people close to the family said that this could not have happened to someone more deserving. Bonnie Gunter has dedicated her life to taking care of children who don’t have parents of their own. She has done a great service to those children and to the community itself. Neighbors say that Bonnie and her husband are very quiet people who don’t like to get into trouble. They just mind their own business and never hurt anyone. Mega lottery

We here would like to congratulate Bonnie Gunter and her husband for their luck. We hope the money they won will be put to good use and help the couple and their children live a better life. The news warms our collective heart and gives us new hope and trust in the lottery institution. So much of the money won at the lottery over the years have been used to help people around the country, nay, around the world, that we just have to take a moment and raise our hats in respect.
