HAPPILY EVER AFTER? (PART II)
November 25, 2011

Everyone on this earth would love to win the lottery? Just imagine for a moment, you have all the cash you could ever count and all your dreams can come true, but once you win it does it guarantee your happiness for ever after?

If you ever thought about winning the lottery most probably you should have also pondered about what to do with it. Usually people have many pending needs and also extravagances in their minds and whatever you do with the winnings actually end up in two big categories. So much money, so basic categories. Yes you either spend your money or you invest your money. Mega lottery

As an example we will look into the story of two friends who won the lottery together. Keith Bryce and his friend, Thayo Robelin, won the lottery in November of 2005, a $17.5 million Mega Millions jackpot. Each of the two friends received $8,750,000.

Thayo Robelin was smart with his money and six years after his big win he still has money and is enjoying life. Keith Bryce went in the exact opposite direction. He blew it. He’s now either broke or close to broke.

As soon as he won the lottery, Keith Bryce started giving away his money – To friends, to family, to pretty much anybody that asked him for some. Within the first month of winning the lottery, Keith gave away more than a million dollars!

Besides being overly generous and giving away money to practically anybody and everyone, he also made big purchases. He bought all of the things he would have ever wanted. A new house, A Harley, a Corvette, and an Escalade. But that wasn´t all, he didn’t only buy things for himself, he bought them for friends and family too, including Harleys for his brothers and a Cadillac for his mother.

The money was flowing out. There were also charitable donations. There were rounds of free drinks to strangers at bars. There were $100 tips to waitresses at restaurants. There were gambling trips to Las Vegas, first class, staying in presidential suites.

There was only money going out and none of it coming in. Almost as if Keith thought that that money would multiply itself while it was spent. Powerball lottery

Before winning the lottery, Keith Bryce worked as a window installer. After winning the lottery, he lived the life most people could only dream about. Today, he’s come full circle – He’s back to installing windows for a living.

With these stories we can but learn from their examples and maybe not even wait until we win the lottery, we can apply it in our daily lives. It is quite simple, money is a great tool to make all your dreams come true, but when you spend and spend without reason, without aim and without a goal it is like if you were making touchdowns outside the field. And what is the end result? A waste of energy and resources that could have been used to build the future of your dreams.
