They say luck is a lot like lightning, it never strikes twice in the same place. Well, Jody Massengale from Panama City Beach, Florida, would probably beg to differ. Last November, the man from Florida managed to win a $3 million prize at a scratch lottery game. One might think that that alone would make a man extremely fortunate, but Jody Massengale did not stop playing the lotteries, and the ticket he bought from the Express Lane situated at 8302 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, turned out to be another winner. But this time, the man pocketed another $10 million. State lottery
David Haas, a worker at the store said he expects to sell a lot more lottery tickets in the near future, as everyone is talking about him selling Jody the winning ticket.
“It’s awesome. It’s really interesting, I talked to him the day he bought the ticket in the store. At the time he didn’t tell me how much it was for, then I come into work and find out it’s like $10 million,” David Haas stated. Lottery results
The amazing thing is that Jody Massengale’s luck back in November was still the talk of the town when he managed to win his new prize. Now, it looks like it will be a long time until he will manage to get rid of all the attention. People even think he has some sort of system, and they keep asking Jody to share his secrets.
“If he does, it’s something he needs to keep to himself. Either that or write a book on it,” said Haas.
“I guess it’s just pure luck. I’m not surprised — that is what the tickets are made for. If he happened to win twice, more power to him. I’m happy for the guy,” Fred Jacobs, a man who plays the lottery quite often, stated. “I haven’t had a bad day in my 53 years of life. So long as I keep waking up, that is good enough luck for me.”
Massengale decided to go for the lump sum option, which leaves him with about $6.5 million. Lotteries
