Number two is charmer, why? When you win once you really believe that luck having landed upon you is possible but the second time is like a confirmation that luck can knock once but twice. And for many this simple fact (because it is a fact for those who have experienced it) is really far-fetched. But that is nothing but a mind blockage, because more than once has it been proved that once you win, you can win again. State lottery
Only twice in the history of the Missouri Lottery has a player won two prizes of $1 million or more. A Bonne Terre man won on two Scratchers tickets in 2010, and now a southwest Missouri man has won two multi-million dollar Scratchers prizes in 2011.
Roger Hirshey, 66, claimed a $2 million top prize on a “Mega MONOPOLY” ticket on December 19th . The Carthage resident bought the winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 8084 E. Seventh St., in Duenweg. Lotteries
This is, however the second large prize this year for Hirshey. He claimed a $3 million top prize on a Missouri Lottery “$3,000,000 Taxes Paid” Scratchers ticket in October. Definitely doubly lucky and doubly millionaire!
“Players win large prizes playing Scratchers all the time, but for a player to win two prizes worth millions is amazing,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “It was exciting the first time it happened, and we are elated for this recent winner. It proves lightning can strike twice.”
You might think, what are the chances, really? Winning twice and millions somehow defies the odds of the games. But it happens for Hirshey is not the only one. Mind boggling isn´t it?
Ernest Pullen of Bonne Terre won prizes of $1 million and $2 million in 2010. One of Pullen’s wins also came on a “Mega MONOPOLY” ticket.
Hirshey is the 63rd player to win $1 million or more instantly and the 329th Missouri-made millionaire. Now he holds two spots in those statistics.
But Hirshey is not the only double-lucky Missouri Lottery player in 2011.
A Kansas City woman is now making some eyes really twitch and twinkle, as she won Powerball´s second prize of $200,000, not once, but twice, in 2011. To all of this, have you ever read the statistics about these wins? It somehow makes you feel and think that there must be some kind of force behind these repetitive wins.
Funny enough, 62-year-old Constance Super bought both winning tickets at the same place: QuikTrip, 1251 N.W. Barry Road, in Kansas City.
What’s her secret to success? According to Super, the only secret is “a lot of luck.” The postal worker used Quick Pick and matched all five white-ball numbers in the December 17 and April 16 drawings —winning her a $200,000 paycheck after each win.
Winning twice, even within once year happens! Will you be the next one?
